Group Therapy Offerings

All groups are led by licensed therapists who specialize in the treatment of adult survivors. New groups form continuously at Roanoke Park Counseling. Our therapy groups are closed groups, which means that members commit to attend every session and no new group members will join after the first group. All groups are 2 hours long. Email Amanda Franklin, Clinical Coordinator, for more information, or call 206.323.7131.

Group therapy has given me an experience that I have never given myself- a chance to share, be witnessed, be heard, and a space to tell my story.

Woman-Identified Groups

Therapy groups for women who have experienced sexual abuse in childhood are 21-week closed therapy groups led by female therapists who specialize in the treatment of survivors of sexual abuse.

Group offers survivors the opportunity to form relationships with other woman-identified survivors and to tell their story in the safety of the group. This experience provides a very significant growth step for survivors.

Group therapy is often a powerful experience. Each group member is expected to be currently in individual therapy (at RPC or elsewhere) to assist in processing strong emotions that may emerge in the group process.

Cost $45 per session. Insurance eligible and sliding fee scale available based on financial need.
